So, as the votes are being tallied for two key primaries today, I first read that Democrats are trying to get other Dems to show up and vote for Santorum in the GOP primary in Michigan, because Santorum would have a worse chance against Obama. Just as I was wrapping my head around that, I read that Santorum's camp is doing the same thing: robocalling Dems to get them to vote for him! How crazy is that? It may be the one time in the whole darned race that RICK SANTORUM, that anti-gay, anti-woman, anti-choice candidate, and the Democratic Party have the same agenda--to help Santorum win Michigan!
I just think it would serve "the Mittster" right to lose Michigan, being that he did not support the bailout of the auto industry and industrial workers there basically hate him. His whole "Make 'em go through bankruptcy" schtick just proves how much his orientation is totally around corporations and not the "little people" who are the backbone of them.
And that's T.'s take! : ) Would love your comments on the above and more!

Feb. 26, 2012 First post on Teresa's Take
Greetings, Political Animals! If you're like liberal me, every election year shenanigan and piece o' news from either party makes you want to shout or scream or stand up and cheer or just laugh at our crazy political system and the nuts who feel a need to run for office. Teresa's Take is my answer to a constant need to vent thoughts and emotions around what is shaping up to be a mighty entertaining election, to say the least!
I take it seriously, too, though, as so much rides on the outcome. I've sworn to my partner that if the universe sees fit to make Rick Santoram president, we're moving to France or somewhere far, far away... I'm betting the whole wad on Obama getting a second term because frankly, I just can't get my head around any of the other options. It would be a giant step back into the Dark Ages. I plan to publish editorials in every newspaper I can--as I did in 2008--and generally to not sit still and let narrow Republican rhetoric rule the day... ANY day.
So if you're willing, hang out with me and post your comments anytime the spirit moves you, and be my company on the march toward the November election. I'll do my best to post thought-provoking news bits as well as editorials--both my own and others'. "Fasten your seatbelts," as Bette Davis said, and to paraphrase, "it's going to be a bumpy... 8 months!" : ) But with good company, and the belief that sanity WILL prevail, itll be a mighty interesting ride!
Liberally Yours,
Teresa
